The shadow and the light of Vasarely

In showcasing his work, a true representation of his past creations,
Bruno Allart evokes « the shadow and the light » from Victor Vasarely,
cinetism master, and JP Vaserely – a.k.a Yvaral – inventor and follower of
the 2nd generation. Bruno was first the efficient shadow, who used graphical
and plastic techniques needed for the creation of his paintings, those
of which the Vasarely integration was constructive on one hand and cristallographic on the other. His father said of him, like his son « he is a born technician who has a precise and extraordinary quality of execution. » And his son would add: « He is efficient and very good in solving complex problems. He is a colleague who knows how to use his hands but also his brains. » With time,
Bruno Allart proposed to the father and his son, new developments which would
stimulate their taste of combination of colors and forms; « a particle accelerator
in a sense ». In his personal search, reserved and discreet, the young plastician
became half-shadow and half-light. Under the eyes of intrigues men of ideas,
Bruno Allart would excel in realizing a piece of work with his own hands;
And while making it, he would master his luck and intelligently dose his effects,
which he continues doing today. Mystery of the attraction of the places,
the Vasarely decided to settle in Gordes and Aix-en-provence, in the shadowy-ocre
universe of Cezanne and the St Victoire mountain. Bruno Allart preferred the curves and pastel colors of Argeles-sur-mer, on the other side of the Mediterranean sea. We often find in his paintings shadows and also the sprint of the light which wouldfollow the synthetic architectural confusion like the « Fauves » already tried
at the beginning of the 20th century (Matisse, Signac, Derrain) in Collioure and
the Cubism in Ceret. As we know them, the two Vasarely princes ares delighed at
the shadow of the light they love so much. Go with the flow…
This straight-forward man has today the perspective and talent to sustain all trends… and sculpt all visuals…

Pierre Bosc ( close relative of J-P and Victor Vasarely from 1966 to 2002)
